Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple, also known as the Telangana Tirupati, is situated in Jamalapuram. It is believed that Lord Venkateshwara blessed Jabali Maharishi after being pleased by his rigorous penance.

Inscriptions, dating back to more than 1,000 years, found at this temple state that the place was visited by Sri Krishna Deva Raya, a Vijayanagar ruler. He renovated this temple and ordered the family of Uppala Yagna Narayan Sarma to perform rituals at the temple regularly. In 1968, the Endowment Department reconstructed this temple and built two other temples nearby.
